On the road to peace.
Moving from sucking it up and driving on to staying there and dealing with it. When you are triggered, it is very easy to run away, speed away, shut down and refuse to deal with a situation; however, the guilt that sets in as a result of your behavior can sometimes cause you tremendous pain which can cause you to feel like your car is suddenly out of control. Learning to ease your foot off the gas and even to pull over to rest or refuel is incredibly beneficial, not only to you, but to those around you.
So, today we pray for all of those who have been sucking it up and driving on. We pray for all of those who feel like their lives are out of control, and especially we pray for those who have yet to recognize the reason for why they lose control. We ask You, Lord, to cover them with your grace and mercy. Lord, we call You to take the wheel and help them out of the car and into a world filled with peace, trust, strength and discipline. A world where they will learn to quickly recall the techniques they have learned to help them to quickly and quietly navigate the journey. Today, Lord, we pray for all those impacted by PTSD to find peace.
For just a few moments sit here with our Lord.
What is it that you would like Him to help you to understand or find peace with? ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Where do you see a loss of control in your life? Where do you sense a loss of love? A loss of respect?
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Now, ask God to show you the truth about the loss of control?

Now, take a moment and close your eyes. Breathe in deeply and let God wrap you in His arms. Feel His love surround you. And, smile a great big smile as you hear Him say: “I have so much respect for you. Thank you for coming to visit with me today and letting me love you. Now, go on your way quietly knowing that you are so deeply loved.”
If someone you love has PTSD, consider taking a moment to share the words above with your loved one. You never know what a difference they might make.
Ya’ll have a beautiful day!
All My Love,
Jen
