Standing with strength
Standing with strength can be hard to do. When someone you love has PTSD it can be hard at times to stand by their side, especially in moments of high anxiety, fear, and rage. Remember as a caregiver you do not necessarily have to stand next to them. It is okay to separate yourself from them until they are in a place to be able to better receive the love that you have for them. Sometimes just being a quiet light helps to calm the storm.
So today we pray for all those who are involved in relationships where PTSD is present. Lord, provide them with the strength that they need to support their loved one, but also to protect themselves in moments of fear, distress, or anger. Lord, we pray a hedge of armor surrounds them in those moments, so that they can make good and sound decisions about how to best respond to the situation. May your grace, peace, and mercy always be with them.
Stand with strength today and sit with God:
Ask Him to show you where in your life have you been a quiet light:

Ask Him where in your life could He use you to be a quiet light:

Thank Him for surrounding you with His grace and mercy.
Smile! Then head into the rest of your day like a quiet light and stand with strength.
Y’all have a beautiful day!
All My Love,
Jen
