Believe in Discipline
When you live with PTSD there are moments when you can become incredibly frustrated, even ungrateful. Simply overlooking the blessings in your life because you are so focused on the pain. Many times you do not see this or even realize it is happening. Many times your relationship with our Lord has become damaged and in many cases the relationships around you have too. You’re not sure why, exactly. Perhaps it’s because you think you are not worthy of a relationship, perhaps it’s because you are afraid of the relationship because you don’t know the outcome, or perhaps it’s just because you are hurting and putting yourself out there just seems to be too much to bear. Remember that our Lord is the great comforter and healer. Turn to Him first and everything else will fall into place.
Lord, thank you for the incredible reminder that when we turn to You our lives become like that of a quiet stream. Thank you for the reminder that even in the brokenness, the chaos, the frustration and the hurting that we can find comfort and healing. Thank you for the reminder that when we turn to You our lives can be filled with more peace, trust, strength and discipline.
Consider staying here in the quiet stream and let the healing waters of God’s love and mercy wash over you:
Take a moment to reflect on a time in your life where you felt alone, but now looking back you see God was there: __________________________________________________________________________________
Now that you see Him, let Him know by saying “Thank you for showing up Lord. I didn’t even know that was you.”
Y’all have a beautiful day!
All My Love,
Jen
