30 Days of Prayer for PTSD - Day 21

When you live with post traumatic stress, simple tasks like choosing what clothes to wear or what to eat that day can feel overwhelming at points. When you couple that with all the other daily tasks and stress, it can sometimes be enough to bring a person to complete exhaustion. In these moments it is important to have tools in place for yourself.

Making things fun is a must. Consider coming up with code names for your family members and use them periodically to help everyone complete a mission. Creating a daily checklist or calendar with simple tasks and using sticky notes to write reminders of how to approach simple decisions can be helpful.

Lord, we want to thank you for helping us put the tools in place that will help us to make even the smallest decisions. Thank you for bringing people into our lives who can provide wisdom and guidance. Most especially Lord, we want to thank you for helping us to find rest and healing when we are completely exhausted.

Consider for a moment the things that you do or need to take with you every morning. Then make a checklist:

  • _________________________________

  • _________________________________

  • _________________________________

  • _________________________________

  • _________________________________

Use the checklist to help you remember everything that you need to do before you head out for the day.

Then take a moment to be here with God. Thank Him for all the blessings that you have in your life and the blessings which you are about to receive.

Then breathe in and breathe out. Smile knowing that your needs are all taken care of!

Y’all have a beautiful day!

All My Love,

Jen (aka FF1)
