30 Days of Prayer for PTSD - Day 9

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you” Matthew 7:7.

Have you ever wanted something so badly that you prayed, begged and pleaded with God, but felt like your prayer would never be answered? Maybe it seemed like He wasn’t listening or maybe He didn’t care. Sometimes when we experience a tragic event and are especially shaken to our core we can struggle with seeing where God’s hand was. This is okay.

Looking back though, we realize that He did answer our prayer. Maybe it wasn’t in our timing or the way in which we thought the answer should come. Maybe we still do not understand why something occurred, but we see now where He was in the tragedy and how He has continued to move in our life since.

This is our faith. This is the way in which God shows us and lets us know that He is working. He is here. This is the faith that carries us.

If you still have questions or still do not understand something then pray today for God to show you where He covered you, where He was in the tragedy. Pray today for God to give you the strength and the faith to continue your walk with Him. Ask Him to sit with you, to remain with you as you work to continue to heal.

Then consider checking out the VA’s collection of Mental Wellness and Self-Care Apps. Some do require specific credentials to access, but many are available to most anyone. There are over 75 from which to choose. I have found helpful information in the PTSD Family Coach app.

Then pray to move from Post-Traumatic Stress to Peace, Trust, Strength, and Discipline

Lord, help us to run with faith towards the foot of the cross trusting that You have everything that we need. Help us to know where you were in the storm and to find the strength to refocus our time and energy on the love, peace, and joy that You have planned for us. We ask that where our heart and soul are in turmoil that you bring us back to peace. We especially pray for those families where peace, trust, strength, and discipline have been compromised. We love you and look forward to our continued journey with You.

Thank you so much! Ya’ll have a beautiful day!

All My Love,

Jen
