As I consider Mother Teresa’s thoughts, I think about Jesus’ divine heart. I envision the beams from His heart radiating into my own and I breathe in and just smile. God’s love is absolutely all encompassing! Sometimes I just like to sit and envision myself facing him, holding both of his hands while His heart warms my entire being – heart, mind, body, and soul. Then I envision His love radiating from my heart over my home, my family, and those around me. Those moments are some of the most precious moments that I spend with Him.
During those moments I feel in true fellowship with Him and recall what He tells us about who He is:
“He is the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end” (Revelations 22:13).
“He is our refuge and our strength” (Psalm 46:1).
“He created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1).
“He is all and in all” (Colossians 3:11).
“He is the light of the world” (James 8:12).
And, it suddenly it becomes clear to me that God has us completely covered. He surrounds us with his angels and holds principalities of peace over us. He already knows his plan for each of our lives (Jeremiah 29:11). We only need to make the decision to allow His light, his love to work in us every moment of our lives to become the strongest and best version of ourselves.
I encourage you to take time to envision facing God and holding both of his hands while His love radiates into your heart. Let it soak in. Invite him into your sanctuary to sit with you for a while. I recommend having a pen and journal nearby or a recorder to talk into while you visit with Him. I am certain that He has wonderful plans and stories to share with you. And, I am most certain that your time with Him will bring you incredible blessings, insurmountable joy and countless smiles.
