Holding onto Hope - Holding onto Philippians and Ephesians

Updated: Nov 19, 2020

Sharing HOPE this week. Holding onto Philippians and Ephesians. Or in the humorous words of my husband, “Where are Phillip and the Egyptians going?”

This was not my initial plan, but this is where I was led, so we are going to roll.

As I sat with Philippians Chapter 1 my heart leaped with excitement as I read Paul’s words “I thank my God every time I remember you, constantly praying with joy in every one of my prayers for all of you.”

What an exciting and awesome gift for one person to give to another. Prayer. And, not just any prayer, but a joy filled prayer of thanksgiving. Wow!

He reminds us that we all “share in God’s grace” and prays that “[our] love may overflow more and more with knowledge and full insight to help [us] determine what is best.”

He speaks candidly and with “eager expectation and hope” that “Christ will be exalted” through us.

He encourages us to “stand firm in one spirit… with one mind for the faith of the gospel” and gently reminds us that God has “graciously granted [us] the privilege not only of believing in Christ, but of suffering for him as well.”

Holding onto hope this week. It may not look like we planned, but when we step back and allow God to step in there is no telling how far he will take us! One thing we know for sure is that no matter where we go as long as He is driving we will not run out of gas.

Y’all have a beautiful day!

All My Love,

Jen
