As we continue on our journey through Philippians with Paul he reminds us that God “exalted [Jesus] and gave Him the name, above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend...and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.”
He calls us to “shine like stars in the world” and to “hold fast to the word of life.”
In Chapter 3, he encourages us to “forget what lies behind and strain forward to what lies ahead.” He reminds us that “our citizenship is in heaven” and that God is working to “transform the body of our humiliation.”
It is through this transformation that Christ works through us. We do not know the hour or the time, but we do know that one day His plan is to welcome us into his kingdom. Into eternity with Him.
As we prepare, Paul encourages us to “rejoice in the Lord always.” He encourages us to enter “prayer [with] supplication and with thanksgiving [letting] our requests be made known to God.”
Despite everything that Paul has lost he finds tremendous faith and hope in God and encourages us to “learn to be content.” He reminds us that “[we] can do all things through Him who strengthens [us].” He further reminds us that when we live a life that is pleasing to God “he will fully satisfy every need.”
My hope for you today is that God is nestled up so close to you that you can feel his healing touch, His warm embrace, His arms wrapped around you and that your heart is growing more joyful, stronger, and holding onto hope more and more.
Ya’ll have a beautiful day!
All My Love,
Jen
