Love Your Spouse More Deeply in 25 Days - Day 17

Celebrate the Small Victories

Ecclesiastes 4:9: Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone?

Imagine a spouse learning that they have some grave disease or working to battle an addiction. Imagine a spouse preparing for a new position at work or finishing their college degree. Imagine a spouse working to reach a weight-loss or fitness goal.

During these times sometimes success does not come quickly. Sometimes it takes weeks or even months before you can begin to truly see a difference. In situations like these, many times we need a battle buddy to help us to see the small gains, the small successes. Who better than your spouse to come alongside you and celebrate the small victories together?

Take time this week to consider the goals that your spouse is trying to reach and look for opportunities to celebrate the small victories with them. Maybe even consider creating a place where you can post their victories on sticky notes or on a sheet of paper that they can see each day.

Ya’ll have a beautiful day!

All My Love,

Jen
