Love Your Spouse More Deeply in 25 Days - Day 2

Look at Your Spouse in the Eyes

Song of Songs 4:9: You have stolen my heart, my sister, my bride; you have stole my heart with one glance of your eyes, with one jewel of your necklace.

When was the last time you looked your spouse in the eyes? I mean really looked into them to see their heart.

Many times, especially in the midst of being Mom, Dad, wife, husband, brother, sister, son, daughter, or employee, we become so busy that we talk to each other from behind opened cabinet doors, as we run up the stairs or out of the house, jumping into the car, through the cell phone as we run from one place to another, with our head hanging down as we are rummaging through a bag or stack of papers, or as we are dozing off to sleep in our chair at the end of a very long day.

Typically, we don’t recognize or realize that we can go days, weeks, months or even years without really looking at one another.

If it’s been a while or even if it was just 5 minutes ago, take a moment today to have a conversation with your spouse and really look into their eyes. Look into their heart.

Y’all have a beautiful day!

All My Love,

Jen
